Building a Stage: Learning and Growing

it’s been a busy couple of months for Break The Chain Theatre Company! In June, we teamed up with BTC friend Astoria Addams to co-produced Broadway Pride, our first in-person event. And this July, in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, we created and hosted a play festival to help raise funds for organizations protecting the reproductive rights of anyone with a uterus.

This month on Building a Stage, the BTC team discusses our work preparing for the We Will Not Go Back play festival, our advice for facing and overcoming fatigue, and learning how to include and involve more voices from our community. It’s our reflection on the growth and learning opportunities that have come in our first six months of running a theatre company!
