Building The One-Act Play Festival

Right on the verge of our 1-year Anniversary, Break The Chain Theatre Company has produced our first in-person production: The BTC One-Act Play Festival!

Hosted at Matrix Theatre in Southwest Detroit, the one-act festival featured four (4) new original plays from a diverse group of playwrights, all performed and directed by local Michigan artists.

On this month’s episode of Building a Stage, the BTC crew talks about the work that went into making the One-Act Play Festival, the challenges we faced and the solutions we found, our favorite moments from the festival, and more! We also talk about the next project that Break the Chain is producing - our first full stage production premiering in February 2023 - the R & J Project!
